Massachusetts Institute of Technology

 Hello, everyone! Would you like to know some interesting facts about Massachusetts Institute of Technology? I hope, you would. It's a private institution covering more than 145 acres (58 hectares) in Cambridge, Mass. The campus borders the Charles River and overlooks downtown Boston. Its buildings range from neoclassic to modern structures, some designed by noted architect I.M. Pei. Among the sculptures and other artwork throughout the campus are creations by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, and Louise Nevelson.

Known for its excellence in engineering and scientific research, the institute contains many specialized laboratories. There are five academic schools—the School of Architecture and Planning, the School of Engineering, the School of Humanities and Social Science, the Sloan School of Management, and the School of Science—and the Whitaker College of Health Sciences and Technology. But MIT's notably economicspolitical science, urban studies, linguistics, and philosophy are also strong.Besides, research at MIT aims to develop innovative solutions to the world’s most daunting challenges, from addressing the energy needs of tomorrow to improving cancer therapies.

Columbia University

Hello! I want to tell you about one of the most famous and prestigious educational institutions in the world. It is Columbia University. It is located in New York, Manhattan; it is private Ivy League research university.  It was founded in 1754 as a King's College. Columbia University has 15 professional schools. It gives students an excellent opportunity to get a good education and well-paid job in future. But, unfortunately, only people from rich families can afford studying there.
And would you like to study there if it was possible? What faculty would you prefer?

Have you ever heard about Yale University? I want to tell you some words about it.

Yale University is an American private Ivy League research 



university located in New Haven, Connecticut



Yale is a very prestigious school and is one of the eight schools that make up the Ivy League. It is steeped in tradition and has had a great impact on collegiate learning in the United States. While being ranked the third best college in the United States, there are also 5 fun facts you may be interested to know.




1. Yale was founded in 1701 as the Collegiate School at New Haven by some clergymen who wanted to establish a college to train clergy and religious leaders throughout the colony. These clergymen were alumni from another prestigious school...Harvard.



2. In 1718, the name of the college was changed to Yale. This was to honor Elihu Yale, who was a governor of the British East India Company. He donated a crate of goods to help the young school.



3. The most prestigious of Yale's societies is the Skill and Bones secret society. Its members have included George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, William Howard Taft, and John Kerry. There have been many conspiracy theories surrounding the organization. They have been blamed for everything from the Kennedy assassination to the creation of the nuclear bomb.




4. The class of 2013 has a wide variety of students. There are students that have lived or worked in over 70 countries and can speak and speak over 35 languages. Their former occupations include everything from a combat correspondent and a professional magician to a marionette maker and advisor to the Korea Ministry of Finance and Economy.





5. Before the civil war, it was a campus crime to express disbelief in the bible or express profanity towards the Sabbath.

Hello friends.Would you like to learn about one of the oldest University in Europe and the the most prestigious educational institution in France? 
I would like to tell you about Sorbonne University,which is loacated in Paris,France
La Sorbonne comes from the name Robert de Sorbon, bishop and confessor of King of France, Saint-Louis. Its history was closely linked to the one of Paris University and became its symbol. The university was created in the XIIIth century from the guild of masters and students in the capital city.Initially, only twenty students attended the university's lectures, but in the 13th Century Sorbonne had more than 20,000 students from all over EuropeIn 1970, Sorbonne split into 13 different universities. The most famous of these are the University of Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne, University of Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle and University of Paris IV - Paris-Sorbonne. Would you like to study here??

Harvard University


Hello everyone! I'm sure you have already heard about Harvard University, haven't you? It is well-known all over the world. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities that affords its students to get an excellent education and  the prospects for a good job. Harvard produces qualified specialists who can work in every country.

There are some facts about Harvard University:
  • It was founded in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
  • It was named after the College's first benefactor John Harvard.
  • Harvard University has 12 degree-granting Schools in addition to the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced studies.
  • Its motto: "Veritas" (Latin for "truth").
  • It has over 400 official student organizations.
  • Harvard has the housing system.
  • 8 presidents of USA graduated from Harvard.

Cambridge University


Hello friends!Have you ever heard about Cambridge University? Cambridge University is considered to be one of the oldest Universities in the world. Student life in this educational establishment is full and varied. I would like to tell you some interesting facts about it.

Cambridge University was established in 1209. King’s College Chapel, built by King Henry VI in 1446, is one of the University’s most impressive landmarks.

One of the most famous rock’n’roll bands of all time formed in Cambridge: Pink Floyd. Syd Barrett was brought up in the city. Roger Waters, the other co-founder, later went to Cambridgeshire High School for Boys with him.

Oliver Cromwell is buried in an unmarked grave close to the doors of the Sidney Sussex College Chapel.
